Very nice negatives you have there. I especially like the number 8 :]

I kind of like 8 myself. The sharpie pen kind of wobbled around inside the C33 body, as you can see :]

LOL Actually both cameras have near perfect frame spacing. I am pleased

Bought a nice 135mm Blue Dot for this project. Older bodies and newer lenses.

I didn’t see anything in the manual about using 220 film. With that back you have is that it? Change something on the camera? The wiki page has a note that says 220 film can be used with optional accessories back.

I used to shoot 220 HP5+ at weddings sometimes. 220 Agfacolor C41 is what I preferred for shooting color. With the C33 the silver stud on the right side of the back engages with the two points on the back of the camera. The C33 instructions on Butkis has close to zero information on 220 backs. You exchange the back and it works. Except sometimes the cameras don't switch back and forth like they should. I have yet to hear back from the brick and mortar repair so we will see.

Meanwhile I bought another C33 body from Adorama on Ebay, with an Ebay promo code I saved $53 and it cost me $53. Not bad for a working C33 (if it works!) LOL And another Magnifying Hood for the second camera.

My 135mm Blue Dot just arrived and it's close to brand new so far.

I really like that lens.
And yes, there are no elements behind the aperture.

I had the 65mm, 80mm and 250mm. I would have been happier with the 55mm than the 65mm because the 65mm is just too narrow compared to the 80mm.

The frame spacing is making me nervous. My C330s produces slightly uneven gaps between frames, with one occasion (just one roll of 100+ since I bought it) of overlapped frames, happened with Cinestill's XX, and now I wonder if the clock is ticking...

P.S. I too think the 8th frame was the best one of the bunch.

Keep an eye on the spacing and if it starts getting tighter, it will need a CLA, your favorite.

I've even chosen to be "immortalized" with my copy, in this self portrait :D.

C33 220 Back Flocking Kit Installed by Nokton48, on Flickr

The C22/33 Foam Door Replacement set shown left (this back new in the original Box has a velvet light trap on the end will keep that). On the right is the completed 220 ready to go. Just make sure it is mounted squarely and that's about it. I used to shoot with 220 and 120 Agfa Optima 400 for color. Later I switched to Fuji 220 and 120 800 and 400 EI

In my deep freeze I have 220 HP5+ Plus-X Pro and Tri-X Pro. And I am considering buying a brick of Shanghai 220. Nik N Trik sells it online and they a cool little shop. Shanghai GP3 ~ 100asa Black & White Film 220 Roll ~ World’s Only Fresh 220! – Nik & Trick Photo Services (ntphotoworks.com)

The second C33 arrived from Adorama Ebay today, it looks almost new and really good. Frame spacing looks good on this one too, and so we will see. Once again I prefer number 8 LOL  Igor Reznik called me up today and we had a nice long chat, I ended up buying a clean Mamiyaflex C2 with Nippon Porrofinder for $50 including shipping. The Mamiyaflex C2 was always my fave stealth TLR camera, Igor says the leather is peeling (isn't it always!) so a Hugostudios black replacement skin is also on order.

So two C33's, a C22 (getting a CLA), and a Mamiyaflex C2. Multiple bodies, not multiple backs.....

Dang-- when you Jones, you don't just Jones, you Smith and Roberts as well!

Then again... I have a shiny "new" Houghton Klito No 3. Falling Plate camera showing up tomorrow, so I guess I'm not one to talk.

Picked up the one in the classifieds. Found me a 220 film door. Looking good so far.

Best of the Mamiya TLR's in my opinion, at one time I had every single model in multiples. If the 220 Back engages properly you are in business.

Mamiyaflex Hartblei Magnifier Hack 1 by Nokton48, on Flickr

My new to me Mamiyaflex C2 with 135mm Blue Dot lens. Atop the camera is a Hartblei modified Kiev 88 Magnifying Hood. I had a Kiev88 that took Hasselblad Backs and this was the finder for it. Attached right now in a very sturdy way with Hollywood Gaffer Tape from Midwest Photo. Manfrotto SuperBall Head, FOBA Mini Tripod extended with FOBA Combitubes. Background by James Bright C171 Softbox and Silver Fill Brand New pair of Hoya K2 Yellow Filters

This will be nice compliment to my 135 Hasselblad Bellows with 135mm f5.6 Planar-S T*

My other favorite Mamiya TLR camera body. New black skin is coming from Hugostudios. Looks like Baby Gowlandflex

The back engages the 24 frame counter just fine. Seals look good but I’ll probably replace them soon. Start fresh.

I am loving this thread…

Could you explain how one access an “eBay promo code”? Is that some thing you got from buying something from Adorama earlier?

Thanks 510Oakster!

Maybe the credit came from PAYPAL? Not sure, but I clicked on the bullet, it deducted the credit, and I paid the remaining balance. A nice surprise!

Pair of fully working C33 Mamys by Nokton48, on Flickr

Now I have a pair of C33 Mamiyas. The idea here is to preload the cameras so they are easy and quick to interchange. Both of these are fully tested to the point of shooting some Ilford Pan F through each. Before I changed to Hasselblad the idea was multiple bodies, not multiple backs.
