Recently purchased a bunch of JandC pro 100 8 x 10 and liked it - the price was right when they blew it out, that's for sure. JandC is out of the product and was wondering who the manufacturer was? Perhaps we can convince them for a run of inexpensive ULF sizes like 7 x 17? Thanks.

Some of my best negatives have been with this film, & would love to have it in 7X17. Supposedly a Chinese manufacturer. They did have cutting problems, resulting in J&C having to ship the rolls to Europe for cutting.

Truthfully I have tried neither. I did contact the seller and he has been very helpful. I plan on trying their film and paper in the near future.

I must agree, this is good film(J&C) for the price... I have never had a bad sheet (8x10cut) though I've heard people complain about QC... Shawn

I tried this film provided by another ape hugger. I really liked it. I ordered some and it seemed to be another film all together. Red package and the FB+F had a blue tint that I have never seen before. Developed in the same pyrocat-p developer I used before. Goes from zone 3 to blank. No digging in the shadows at all. This is not the same film I tried. I tried different lighting situations but it is useless for me. I have another package of 8x10 left that I wouldn't run thru a holga. I think I was sent the wrong film. I have contacted J&C but received no response. It was during their move so maybe I'll try again. NO gripe against J&C as I hold them in high regard.

The problem with all private label films is that sometimes the supplier changes so you're actually then using a different film. J & C are linked with companies in Germany & the UK. This film seemed at one time, at least in 120size, to be the same as Classic Pan eco 100, which was what was on offer in the UK. The supplier of that, in 120 rollfilm, seemed to be the Shanghai film company rather than Lucky. Shanghai films in sheet & 120 sizes are sometimes sold by suppliers in Taiwan & China on ebay.
