This is just a heads up:

When I purchased a box of 8x10 polywarmtone from JandC I not only told them my order was by way of apug.org, but also asked about the availability of 11x14 paper. Their response is that they will be replacing the 12x16 (which I guess is a standard size across the Atlantic?) with 11x14 and they are having that order cut right now. Hopefully this will also result in a reduced price... I wouldn't like to pay 12x16 prices for only 11x14 paper.

Yes, here in Ye Olde Worlde 12x16 (=30x40 centimeters) is a standard size.

well I suppose if you want a price reduction it would be about 20% less when comparing the surface area of the paper. But then again if they have to buy 12x16 and then cut it down to 11x14 they are going to be a little more resistant to dropping the price to much. Why not just go 12x16? You could cut them yourself into 8x12's for the smaller prints and then use them full size for the larger stuff. Price per print for the small stuff should be greatly reduced then.

I was just curious the 11x14 as that is the size easel I have and I barely have the money for paper let alone a new easel! That and I'm a clutz, I had enough trouble making test strips (I now just use a 5x7... lets me see more of the important areas) let alone hacking down full sheets of paper. And I may have misunderstood the response but I don't believe they are having 12x16's cut down to 11x14 so much as placing an order for 11x14's to be cut from the factory.

I wish we got more of the European sizes. Wouldn't 10x10" be nice from a 6x6 negative? Or how about 12"x12"? 10x10 would fit an 11x14 easel.
