There will be at least one apugger in the show.

I'll be there John.

Will you be serving Cote de Rouge 2005 ?
.

Good Luck John, wish I could be there but you know I wish you the best!

Don,
I doubt that there will be a sea of red, but (wife willing) a pint or two partaken after the event.

Thanks Jorge

Thanks Robert,
I could only enter two (and both were accepted) so sales can't be too high. Not to sound flippant, but I only entered because I was pushed by a friend (the woman who took the portraits of me on my site). I have sworn off shows until I finished my portfolios, but now wish I hadn't.

I forgot how exciting it can be.

About time more of the world gets to see your work John....Congratulations!! wish I could be there.

John, best of luck in the show. Looking forward to hearing about comments on your work. Get that fly on the wall a tape recorder! tim

Congrats, John, and good luck!

Just got back from the opening. It was interesting. I had wasted the better part of the day writing a personal statement for my head hunter and decided I needed to go out and take advantage of the mild weather and shoot some stuff down in Detroit. By the time I got to the opening I was hungry, muddy and probably smelly as well. I met a couple friends, including our own d f cardwell and wife. We chit chatted as I ate and the powers that be handed out the awards. Don left and so I started to tune in to the guy giving the awards. He was talking about some picture where the colours were probably off, but that didn't really matter because... and my ears pricked up. As I listened further I realized he was talking about one of my shots. Low and behold I won best colour. Pretty immodest of me to bring it up, but I did spend the better part of the day writing a paper on how great I am. The bitch is they spelled my name wrong. I just hope the check cashes. The image that won is a larger version of this one .

WAY-TO-GO John

The photo, everybody, just sat in the frame and hummed. It whistled at girls passing by. It spoke when it hadn't been spoken to, and talked back to the judges.

John was a little smelly when he got to the show, but after a quick dinner of junior mints and salsa he had it back together.

I had anesthesia earlier in the day and figured I had seen enough. Our own mrcallow is pretty d****ed good. Covered in glory, and buying the beer next time I catch up with him.

Well big ... huge congratulations - very well deserved imho. My favourite to boot.

Will enjoy an extra merlot over here on your behalf tonight.

Wonderful John. I am really great to see a friend achieve so much, and you have been a friend to so many here.

Thanks for the kind words. I haven't won anything since college -- it might help if I entered more of these things -- and I'm feeling a bit better than James Brown.
