Vegas will make shipping out orders much faster with better transportation infastructure.

Vegas sounds like a weird place for a business like J and C, but what do I know. The rent is probably a lot cheaper than NYC or Boston at least. Just seems kind of odd. I am buying from Freestyle now (as are many others) and unless their prices are a lot lower I am not switching back, but I wish them luck.

So long as they have products unavailable elsewhere, or that they are willing to help introduce to my market, I will throw them my business (the same is true of Freestyle). I wish them the best and look forward to spending my money with them.

I'm happy for J&C and all that awaited this news but personally a bit sad that they won't remain "local" to me. That was going to be very cool for me...and the ability to pick up heavy items at a storefront was going to be a big cost savings.

You got a great excuse to goto Vegas now!

I haven't heard too much. Just that:

a) According to forum poster "fotoimpex" (who, I think, we can trust to know about such things:wink: ) Fotimpex expects to continue their relationship with J&C Photo.

b) J&C continues to post updates on the Kodak TMY ULF orders.

So not a lot as far as what their retail catalog may look like come 9/1. Personally, I think we may be expecting too much if we think that all the previous products (possibly minus Forte) would be available immediately after they open. We will just have to see.

I think J&C has been pretty reasonable in posting status updates every 2-3 weeks.

So when they have their grand opening can we all have a nightcap in Tonopah?

Can you imagine the next generation of Las Vegas mishaps? "Dude, I was so f--- loaded in Vegas, that when I woke up I was married with a hooker, I had the ace of spades up my bum, a cowboy hat full of puke, and twenty boxes of 12x20 Adox 100 film, what the...?"

Vegas! How cool is that! They'll have to have backup backup refrigeration with all the emulsion chilling when it's 110 outside.

They did mention they'd be stocking new products, so I'm gonna be curious about that for the next few months, but good news I'd say. J&C is still quite convenient for me, and I'm in Australia.

Well, if you ever want to pay a vist to the actual operation the casinos keep those airfares nice and low.

Now we're talking. That would be the only good reason I can think of to go to Vegas! Except to hang with Dave W of course:smile:
