Remember this film? I just finished developing my last batch of negatives. They are all 8x10's that I shot in Yosemite last month. Developed in Pyrocat-HD 1:1:150 in tanks with minimal agitation for 22 1/2 minutes and the negatives are outstanding! They will make some great carbon prints. My question is does anyone remember who was manufacturing this film? It has a beautiful emerald green antihalation layer and the pre-soak water is this color. It would be interesting to see if there is something like this out there to replace it. Thanks.

Jim,

It was manufactured by Forte in Hungary, and is the same film as Bergger BPF 200. It was also sold as Forte 200.

If you have a lot of it be sure to freeze what you don't plan to use in the next several months as it will develop a lot of B+F if stored at room temperature.

Alex & Sandy, thanks for the quick replies. I just used up the last that I had of my 8x10. The stuff really looks good in your Pyrocat-HD, Sandy. Minimal agitation works wonders with this stuff. I have made several carbon prints from this film and I really like how it looks. Thanks again.

I think Foma 200 is available in 8x10. It's a wonderful emulsion. I used the J&C 200 as well, and it was great in both Rodinal and Pyrocat from what I could remember.

Yes that's what I rate it at, I also got crazy and bought a lot of 5x7 in 400 and some 4x5. Those were the days when all seemed possible. I have a box full of 120 roll film in 100 and 400 and a big bag of 35mm too. I used up most of Nuance paper, I believe I only have two boxes of 11x14 50 sheets left.
