I bought a few medium format rolls of JandC pro 100 to try and would like to develop it in xtol 1+1.

I plan on shooting it at 100. The jandc website only shows xtol 1+0 at 7 minutes. So does anyone have a 1+1 time.

Also, has anyone tried this in rodinal or d76 1+1 ?

thanks and happy new year.

I shot a few rolls at 64 and just got around to developing them. I used XTOL 1+1 at 24C in a Jobo. The 4.5 minutes roll was a bit over. The next roll I did at 3.75 minutes and it prints nicely at about a grade 3. I didn't do a film speed test but I would say that 64 was about right for the way I did it. The light was relatively flat when I shot my test rolls.

I am happy with the look of the film. It is also almost grainless at 11x14 from a 6x7 negative. Some other things to note: The film has a terrible curl to it - though I am hoping it will go away with flat storage; There are no frame numbers at all; the backing paper tears easily; the whole package has a cheap feel to it. These aren't show stoppers, but it is easy to see how J&C is keeping the cost down.

I've used J&C Pro 100 in both 120mm & 4X5 sizes; and developed them in Rodinal 1:50 for 13.5 minutes. the 120 does annoyingly curl but seems OK once placed in plastic sleaves. I have gotten some good images with it, though it seems a bit contrasty.

Well I just developed one roll of jandc 100. I shot it at 100 and dev'd it for 9.5 at 68 in xtol 1+1. This looks about right but I might need about 30-60 seconds more. Maybe. I will be proofing it later this week.
It does have an annoying curl and this roll had a ton of light leak. It was not from my mamiya 7II because I shot some other film at the same time. So, I will shoot one more and will see what happens. Otherwise the 4 negs that don't have light leak look good.

I just took down the film and when I cut it into 3 frame sections they are curled up. What a pain in the a**.

The curl of the 120 is indeed a bit of a pain in the posterior, but if you keep your negs in pages in 3-ring binders, they will flatten out a bit after a while. IMO, It's a small price to pay for what is a real nice film.
