J and C Classic 400

Found a box of this stuff in 8x10 in my freezer. Planning on shooting a few sheets in the coming days. Never used it before. I'll most likely shoot it at EI 200 and develop it in Xtol-R. I recall when I first purchased this stuff that it was similar if not the same as Bergger, or Forte 400 films... Can anyone confirm this? And does anyone have any reciprocity data on it? I usually generate my own, but that takes time and more importantly, film... I only have the one box of 25, and I'd rather shoot it. Thanks!

Apparently it's the same as Foma from about 2002.

I still have some in 35mm. It has not held up well. Lots of fog, so you might consider that in developing.

Not sure if it would be related, But I rember using some of the J and C Classic 35mm, and it seemed to at least have the edge markings of Forte. YMMV

This stuff I have I imagine it's quite old. I can live with a bit of fog.

I have quite a good stash of J&C Classic 400 in 35mm. My rolls have a lot of fog too. But still usable film, especially when scanned and corrected. I dont know about large format, but the roll films were said to be Bergger 400 and Forte 400. I don't know why the above said its Foma film. To my knowledge it isn't, but maybe its a large format thing? Some have said Forte 400 had a look very similar to the older Tri-X 400 from way back. Its the reason I got my stash here.

It quite posibly WAS simalar to tri-x from a way back. the Forte factory was established as Kodak's outpost in eastern eupope from before WWII. who knows how long Kodak shared information with them Hoping to get them back intothe fold.
