In some bout of amazing improbability I can now post in the shows forum.
Im having my first photography show (well first any show for that matter).
Its at the Umlauf Sculpture Garden (www.umlaufsculpture.org) from Jan 6 - Feb 26, 2006. With a lecture on wednesday Feb 1. Where I will attempt to publically speak and explain myself
(it should make for a good laugh if nothing else youll see some humor)
Thought I would make an announcement... and its not meant to come across as bragadocious. Im just excited to get some of my work out there and hopefully get some input and opinions.
The work being shown is from within the Garden. Ive been working on a project of photographing within some of the wonderful parks located within AUstin. I came across the Umlauf sculpture Garden about 8months ago and have been photographing in there quite a bit since then. It came up in conversation between me and the curator one day (she was interested in my "weird old camera") and low and behold a few months later here I am with a show there.
It will likely be between around +/- 15 prints, 5x7s, 8x10s, 7x17s - all platinum/palladium contact prints.
So if you happen to be around the area sometime in that timeframe take a stop by. Or if you happen to live in the area come to the lecture and drink some wine and we can talk some.
