Good stuff! I've 1 of the 10, guess my bucket list needs some updating

Always the same stuff. It's getting boring.
Except for the Ricoh. I find it rarely on such listings. I like mine.

Why no Canon F1N ?, It's far cooler than the consumer grade Canon AE 1

I have number 1, so I win! If you do not have a Hasselblad SWC eat your heart out.

I have 1 on the list. I think the Canon F-1 would have been a better choice than the AE-1. I would have pick the RB67 in the list.

It is quite obvious to the person causally walking around that Jeff Kubach is a man of superior intelligence and charm.

I almost had one of those cameras. I have an AE 1 Program. Close but no cigar.

Jeff, they do but they are shy. You just have to approach them and ask them out. After all what beautiful woman can resist a man with a Hasselblad?

I have #2, the Rolleiflex with Tessar f3.5. All the rest of the cameras they mention are way too modern for me. My Leica is a c.1942 IIIc.

I currently own one on the list (P6X7, purchased in 1983) but in the past have owned a Rolleiflex Automat (now own a Rolleicord V), Pentax LX, Rollei 35 and I used to sell the Canon AE-1 amongst other brands in the early 80s.

I have had the Oly XA, the Superwide (the SWC/M version), and I currently own two Rollei 2.8E models. Cameras are not good pick-up material - if you want to troll for women, get a puppy. Saying, "hey baby, how do you like my Hasselblad?" transforms it from camera to very very very obvious PCD (Penis Compensation Device). If you must have a PCD, get a Corvette. Then at least she can share it with you. Otherwise you'll be flying solo, in more ways than one.

We're all going to have our quibbles but it's a cool list none the less. I think you could generalize it a bit in some places.

The only exact model listed that I have is the Pentax LX, every bit good enough to deserve to be on the list.

I went into a well-known professional camera store in Seattle in 2000 with the intention of buying an AE1 as my first real camera. The salesman opined that "its hard to get lenses for those" and convinced me to buy a Nikon N60 instead. Their customer service hasn't improved much in the intervening thirteen years...

It's one of the first principals of salesmanship, sell them what you have, he probably didn't have any AE1's in stiock.

Naw, the camera salesman probably got a spiff (bonus) for selling a particular brand. If it's between you getting the best camera for you and him getting a sawbuck guess who wins? I'm not knocking all camera salespersons, but it happens more than it should.
I agree desertratt, I too dislike the kind of salespeople that this sort of company policy produces, I worked in camera stores for almost 25 years, and I preferred to have my staff paid a bonus on them collectively reaching a monthly and annual sales target, in fact it wasn't unusual on the last Saturday of the bonus period for the store to stay open until we had achieved our target because it made a big difference to our salary.

I have but two on the list, AE-1 and F3, but I have 4 AE-1's and two F3's so I have six on the list. There shoulda been an APS and a 110 on there too. I've got more odd looks from my Pentax Auto 110 than anything else.

For odd but approving looks, nothing beats a TLR. I don't have a Rollei though one is on my "one day" list but my Yashicamat 124 suffices fine for the looks. And unlike the 110 you can readily get film for it, AND print to 16x20 from it with nearly zero visible grain, if so inclined.
