It is quite obvious to the person causally walking around that Jeff Kubach is a man of superior intelligence and charm.
Jeff, they do but they are shy. You just have to approach them and ask them out. After all what beautiful woman can resist a man with a Hasselblad?
It's one of the first principals of salesmanship, sell them what you have, he probably didn't have any AE1's in stiock.I went into a well-known professional camera store in Seattle in 2000 with the intention of buying an AE1 as my first real camera. The salesman opined that "its hard to get lenses for those" and convinced me to buy a Nikon N60 instead. Their customer service hasn't improved much in the intervening thirteen years...
I agree desertratt, I too dislike the kind of salespeople that this sort of company policy produces, I worked in camera stores for almost 25 years, and I preferred to have my staff paid a bonus on them collectively reaching a monthly and annual sales target, in fact it wasn't unusual on the last Saturday of the bonus period for the store to stay open until we had achieved our target because it made a big difference to our salary.Naw, the camera salesman probably got a spiff (bonus) for selling a particular brand. If it's between you getting the best camera for you and him getting a sawbuck guess who wins? I'm not knocking all camera salespersons, but it happens more than it should.
I have but two on the list, AE-1 and F3, but I have 4 AE-1's and two F3's so I have six on the list. There shoulda been an APS and a 110 on there too. I've got more odd looks from my Pentax Auto 110 than anything else.
