Its all clean and nicely presented, at least. I expected to see the guy swimming in a vat of brownies like scrooge mcduck

I would have liked to have seen his collection before he downsized. But what he has now is a very tasteful display. Those Sabre 620s look good in all the colors. Those look great on a shelf and have a broad appeal. I don't make a living as a camera dealer, so I think my collection would be the opposite of his. I would sell the plastic midcentury stuff and buy cameras which I found both useful and collectible.

I loved it. Loved the 1950's style cameras and colors, loved the 1950's clock, loved the cat.

Why wouldn’t he be married? Even if I didn’t t share my SO’s passion, I would totally respect his right to pursue it (at least, without putting us into financial ruin). That said, the fact that I have the second bedroom converted into a darkroom, numerous prints on the walls, and a growing camera collection in my living room, and am seriously contemplating getting a bigger place just so I can have a studio and/or a better darkroom to do alt processes, I shouldn’t really talk. Ahhh...maybe that’s why I’m still single....

When my children were young I read many books on child psychology and apparently, the collector's instinct can be caused by too early potty training in childhood.

I’m just curious why he keeps blowing on all the cameras he picks up.? And should I be doing this before I shoot.?

I agree a spouse of significant other should be tolerant of ones simple pleasures, if not then move on because there will be other much bigger issues.

I think a better thread title might be "How does this guy stay married"? :whistling:
His efforts in support of his collection do seem to be rather all (time-)consuming.
