Is this even doable?

Could the cables be cut and soldered to make a radio release for Mamiya?

why not?

just one question... is that cable release a multi position switch? push half way to auto focus, the all the way in to fire?

if you do make your radio fire remote it wont auto focus so manual set up will be required first.

google wireless remotes n see if you can find one for your camera or something you can adapt?

Should be doable. You might also consider getting a Mamiya adapter for a regular mechanic release cable instead. Open up the adapter (just small screws) and solder the radio release cable onto the contacts in the adapter. The adapter is probably much cheaper than another electrical cable release. There's no electronics inside/involved. For Paul Ron, this release is only for the manual Mamiya's. The 645AF series have a different round connector. It has a half way contact for the meter in the AE prisms but that would no longer work with the proposed setup.

I took apart the Mamiya manual plunger to 645Pro/RZ adapter and all it is is a contact between two pins. So, I do actually think this might be possible if the quick momentary of the wireless trigger is long enough for the body to pick it up. If not, maybe a capacitor is needed.

It's for the RZ67PROII and pre AF 645pro so that won't be a problem

If the adapter is hard (expensive) to find, you might also go to an electronics (web)store and buy something like this. With a bit of filing and epoxy glue you might be able to connect two of the female wire sockets to the pins in the camera. A standard 4-pin female header doesn't fit, I tried that myself some time ago. To figure out which pins you need, just take a piece of wire and hold it against the various two pin combinations until the shutter trips.

"I just use an air bulb release"

Same here; cover it up a bit and nobody notice a little unsharpness of the hand/feet
