The body looks like a Tachihara to me, but the two-toned bellows have me confused. The bellows of my 8x10 Tachi doesn't have the clipped corners, and is all black.

It looks similar to my Tachihara, but it is not exactly the same. Slightly different front standard setup and there is no "Tachihara Fiel Stand Camera" sticker on the back of your camera. And as Ralph pointed out, there is something strange about the two-toned bellows.

I'd say it is made by the same factory as the Tachihara.

(edit: the front standard is the same - this one has not been properly unfolded. The clip on the rear standard is not Tachi)

It it a red bellows with black gaffer's tape on the corners or maybe a black bellows with red tape in the middle serving some reinforcement or patching function?

Looks alot like the tachi, the bellows look to be black with center accents of red which I have seen on two others, one was a tachi, the other one was a calumet wood field that a friend of mine had, they had actually added the red down the centers to help reduce bellows sag.

Looks to me actually like a Wista or possibly one of the Zone VI labelled Wistas. Probably a Wista DX. Do a google search for Wista DX.

Sincerely,

Hany.

The knobs on my Wista DX II (1982) are different (flatter and larger diameter), and it has finger joints on the corners without the reinforcing brass corners on the rear standard as shown in this photo.

I would bet it's not a Tachihara or a Wista, at least not any reasonably current variation. It could have been made by Tachihara under some other name. It would help if you had better pictures.

Looks like a Tachihara to me. Midwest Photo has some BIG pix of them at their website. The lens is interesting, is that gray thing attached to it some kind of electronic shutter?
