I am looking to buy a piece of heat absorbing glass because I "think" that my negative is popping in my 23CII enlarger.
The correct PN is #8042 and is 6" x 6" in side, however, on ebay there is one for half price with the PN #8826. It is also 6" x 6" so it would seem like it would work; if fits in the tray above the filter holder slot. Here is what it says about it:

DESCRIPTION: From the inventory of a recently closed camera store a new old stock new in factory envelope Beseler 8826 6" x 6" square x 1/8" thick heat absorbing glass. Unfortunately we can't tell for certain what Beseler enlarger/s this fits but we are guessing one or more of the 45 series but it is the same dimensions as the #8042 for the 23C series. If anyone knows for sure what this fits please let us know.

Does anyone here know for certain?

According to the current parts diagram and list on Beseler's web site the heat absorbing glass for the 45MXT is #8077, and it's round. I also checked the lists for the 45V-XL and 23C and none of them list a part #8826. Your best bet would be to ask Beseler at 1-800-237-3537 (if you're in the US) or through their web site beselerphoto.com.

From some help from an APUGger I found that the 23C glass is 5.5" x 5.5" and not 6 x 6 so that's a deal breaker I guess. I sent them a message and they haven't responded back.

thanks for the help
