Hello everybody,
I read in the Munroe lens guide that the FE lenses previously used to be called TCC lenses. Does that mean that they are identical, optically, mechanically etc and were just renamed with the launch of the 20x series cameras?
I am looking for a longer lens for my 203FE and am wondering specifically about the 350/4 Tele-Tessar FE vs the 350/4,0 Tele-Tessar F TCC.
The former is very difficult to find, but the latter does come up occasionally so if it is the same as the FE I might consider it.
Thank you very much in advance
Philip

As far as I know there should be no difference. The only F-designs that changed (minimally) were the 50mm and the 110mm in 1999. Same electronics as well, it is only the name that changed.

Thank you very much for the reply. I appreciate it a lot.

It's odd that, apart from the Munroe guide, there is no info about this.

There were only F and FE lenses - nothing was specific to the 205TCC/FCC

I don't think they redesigned the 350/4

Yes the FE lenses, backs and extension tubes were called TCC at first when there was only the 205TCC. They renamed the system around the time the 203FE was introduced.
