Is Legacy Pro 400 coming back?

Eric at Freestyle said it is various dates, all within this year. But that it has been properly cold stored, so it should good for quite a while.

The dates on my last batch from right before it went MIA from the FS site is 4/2011

I have some of this recent batch en route (both cans & rolls of 135/36) and will report the dates on them when they arrive.

Thanks for the expiration date information. I'm a little concerned about Neopan 400 here in the US. I bought ten rolls of Neopan 400 from Adorama last month, only to get film that expires this May. When I called to ask about it, the very knowledgeable and helpful customer service person said that's all they had. She offered to take it back, but I wanted it.

I haven't finished those rolls yet, so I haven't called to check if there is a fresher batch in the pipeline. And that's only one store. But it sure seems like the same master roll as these Legacy Pro rolls.

B&W film is quite robust as long as it's stored reasonably.
Obviously faster speeds degrade/fog faster but I shoot 400 past date without issues. Not idea I know but.

I was under the impression that Neo 400 was only discountinued in 120 and they were still making it in 135.
Problem is the info is hard to verify for sure and different markets seem to have different products available.

fyi, I just got my legacy pro 400 100 ft roll from Freestyle, and they are marked to expire in July.

Both rolls and cans are marked 2011-7

Yep, just received one of LP100 and one of LP400, both marked 2011-7 (I can the emulsion # for those who want it). I'll shoot both this week to see if I buy more (never tried LP400, LP100 only as Acros-branded)

Same mark on my LP 400 that I just ordered some three weeks ago. Which is the same mark on another LP 400 ordered A YEAR AGO... Sounds weird.

Must be from the same, single run. Probably why the stuff is in stock then discontinued when it runs out. Comes out again later, perhaps from a different maker. Re-branded film for you, cheap, enjoy it while you can!

I have some factory pack 400 in 271 and had one bulk can in 271. I have another bulk can in 272 and the last batch I bought after it came back in stock both the 36exp rolls and the bulk cans were 275. (the last three numbers in each case were 001 002 or 003.) The 271 and 272 had dates between 2011-01 and 2011-03 and the 275 was 2011-07

The first three digits are shown on the actual film margins as part of the edge print, which proably makes them the batch number. The next three, are no doubt the master roll out of that batch.
