I got few rolls of cheap C-41 film form drugstore and wonder whether it is possible to reverse them..

As in process them in E6 chemicals and get a positive image?
Go right ahead and do it.

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

This thread is rather interesting but the film used in that process was Ektachrome.

Yes, it's perfectly straightforward, I've done it . You might find some rather weird colour shifts of course or other oddities, problems with contrast, density etc.

You can either follow an E6 type process (using E6 chemicals) or you can process them using C41 chemicals (using an E6 procedure - i.e. first developer then bleach then fog then process as normal) or as black and white reversals. In the latter two cases you'll need a separate bleach (if you use a blix after 1st dev it'll nix te reversal process )

There#s loads of threads here on this sort of thing, which is where I picked up most of the info I needed to try it. For how to do black & white reversals have a look on Ilford's site, there's a detailed how-to PDF you can download

AFAIK you will still end up with an orange base, which sort of ruins the effect, unless you are purely into scanning and want to see what weird result you get after a standard colour neg scan. But by all means go for it.

Arnt there any c41 films available without masks?

Only Ilford XP2 as far as I know.

one must also note that when processing C-41 in E-6 the film behaves A LOT slower.
