NOT a fan of the butternut squash? Surely not!?! Roasted with garlic, they're delightful!

LOL. It's a bit too sweet for me. Why does everything have to be sweet? When we make it, we don't do the typical things people do to sweeten it, and while I like it initially, it's sweetness still gets too me before I'm done with the meal (and I'm someone who can easily drink a 12 of Pepsi in a day).

That said, I've a few butternut squash vines in my garden right now - and not for photographic purposes. We keep trying to make it savory. I find it works very well cubed in a chili, but I need more recipes.

At least you did not use a couple of blue plums instead of the peppers...

well, and rude it is! I think the adjective rude is not bad when it comes to judge artworks. it means you emotionally touched the person who feedback you. However, I like it..the composition made of vivid colours, indeed please the viewing.

I am a still-life photographer as well and I care about compositions.

My name is Luigi and would love feedback on the website I recently launched. It aims to offer the e-commerce photography service in London.

By the way, I want see more from you

While resurrecting an old thread for comment is fine and dandy, hijacking it for self promotion (IMO) is bad manners.

haha, i like it,

not rude by a long shot, unless you're a prude.
funny that someone should consider this, rude.

Now, lets consider a nude
perhaps in the wrong context, crude.
but never if ever, rude.

composition is key with food
fruits and veggies can allude,
but to censor is to obtrude.

and there is nothing more rude.

Nice ditty, Dude.

My brother (who is sadly no longer with us,) who taught art history in a local art college, used to do sculptures with a banana and two apples, he used to say that phallic symbols were as old as the cultures of most civilisations.

Truth. The oldest symbolic works archaeologists find are phallic symbols and ones similar to the Paleolithic Venus. Even 50,000 years ago, people knew what was important.

It may have to do with, and be a complement to the general theme of fertility, ensuring survival of the clan?
It would be so interesting to read the minds of our ancestors.

Here is a Still-life I took to use up some film and I have been told it 'looks a bit RUDE' -- I was innocent at the time of taking ---

Still-Life
by pentaxpete, on Flickr
Hasselblad 501CM + 180mm f4 CFi Sonnar T*, 2002 outdated Fuji NPC 160 film rated 100 ASA, processed myself in C41, Bowens Flash + reflector, Epson 1650 flatbed scanner, Vuescan, PhotoShop 7

rudeness is in the heads of people not in pictures.
