I just noticed that 120 Acros is not listed at Freestyle anymore and Adorama and B&H are out of stock. I just shot a roll of this and heard good things about it.

I read that they were shifting their packaging on a lot of stuff from 1 roll to 5-roll packs. Might be just a restocking issue due to that (or a similar change), might not.

I had a quantity backordered with Freestyle and received an email cancelling the order and informing me that it had been discontinued. The email in part is below

"Hello Craig:

We have been notified today by FujiFilm USA that they will not be able to fulfill our orders for Fuji Neopan Acros film. As a result, we will not be able to ship your order for 100 rolls of this film. We can still offer a variety of other black and white emulsions. Please let me know if you would like to place an order for another film.

Your order # 381111 has been cancelled due to the discontinuation of the product."

Wow.

I bought 40 rolls of Neopan 400 (all the money I could spare) but I didn't think there was any danger of Acros going away.

Kaaaaaaaaaa.... (here it comes - hold on tight)

BOOOOOOOOM!

or maybe they just aren't selling individual rolls any more and the freestyle dude/system is not that informed/helpful. I hope for all of our sakes that this product does not go away in 120. I always looked at 120 and 4x5 as THE bastions that would be the last to be worked over.

Personally I shoot TMX and have since the big K unceremoniously discontinued my other fine grained slow film - FX (Panatomic-X) so for now I am okay but I really do not want to be down to just the one - TMX. IMHO Delta was alright but not in the same class as TMX/Acros. I tested Acros and was impressed but saw no reason to switch and there is something a tiny little bit off in spectral sensitivity with all their BW for someone used to the way Kodak works for so so so many years. Something about the reds being a shade darker relatively speaking....

Hope it ain't true.

As much as I hope its not true, I am sooooo glad I have three bricks of it frozen along side my two pro packs of txp 320.

Fuji's last announcements said they were not going to sell Acros in single rolls, just the 5-roll packs. Freestyle and the others probably are waiting for the new packs to come in since they carried it as single rolls before.

I hope that this is the case. I had ordered 100 rolls and was looking to order another 100. It suits me better if it comes in 5 roll packs. In the meantime I have enough to keep me going for a month or so and then it will be a matter of finding something else unless the 5 roll packs become available.

Extremely doubtful Acros 120 is discontinued. It's simply out of stock.

Dead Link Removed

I just ordered 20 rolls 120 ACROS from that APUG advertiser and they didn't say anything about being out of stock... but then I haven't gotten the film yet either.

Samy's website said it was available, and even better $2.45 / roll.

I had herd good things about this film and ordered 2 rolls to try it out in my Bronica and was considering ordering some more when I started looking and could not find any. I have shot one of the rolls but have not developed it yet. Yes I hope they bring it back in 5 roll packs.

I'm betting its just teh packaging changeover thats causing its unavailability.

I repeat this to myself as I fall asleep each night

It just has to be true!

ACROS 120

It's disappointing to read the accounts of various films being discontinued. Trying to get accurate information from the manufacturer is like trying to interview someone running out of a burning house. Only the manufacturer knows how much stock is left and whether a particular emulsion, or any emulsion, will be coated again. I don't expect Ilford Pan F+ to be available very much longer. If Plus-X really is discontinued in all sizes then maybe it will help Ilford enough so that FP4+ can stay in production longer.

What, exactly, makes you think Pan F+ or FP4+ won't be around for much longer? While I agree it's disappointing to see films discontinued, I don't necessarily think this means it's the end of the world or that other films from other manufacturers are selling poorly.

WTF?

Plus-X isn't discontinued in all sizes at all. Neither is PanF+, OR Acros, OR FP4.

Stop spreading FUD.

Dear Dynachrome,

PAN F+ is in the rudest of health, and will continue to be manufactured in 35mm and 120:

No ILFORD Photo products WHATSOEVER Film / paper or chemistry are scheduled to be delated :

Simon

Glad to see Ilford is doing well. When you make releases about Ilford, does that always include Kentmere?

Thanks

Mike
