Okay, so, for an on-topic question: which issue is the last one that should have reached us, the subscribers?

I have issues 1, 2 and 3. Should I have received issue 4 already?

This thread is going in circles and I fail to see the value of letting this carry on page after page. If Emulsion wants to contact this sites membership they are welcome to get in touch with me and I can post some updates or I can give them the facility to post one off thread announcements on the magazines status, or they can PM folks on the site if needed. The door for this is wide open but this current thread method/speculation/people here and there posting on behalf of the magazine is counterproductive in my opinion. Aggie had mentioned all mail to Emulsion was going to her spam box and that she has resolved that problem. I would suggest emailing the magazine and giving that another try or contacting Jorge as he states above. I'm sure they'll get to your message as soon as it's possible.

Thanks,
Sean

Since this thread exists on the Large Format Forum and the content of the original post comes from someone who has been banned from APUG and is not in a position to respond here, please discuss this topic on the LF Forum where it was originally posted, if it is of interest to you.

I should add that many positive sentiments and wishes to Aggie were expressed among the deleted posts.

[This post refers to a thread that has been merged with a number of threads on this topic, so the "original post" is no longer the first post in the thread--d.g.]

Emulsion Magazine

I have subscribed to Emulsion Magazine, and have gotten no response from them(almost a month). I emailed them at Emulsionmagazine.org addressed to "Aggie" three times in as many weeks yielding total silence.... Does anyone know what's up? Have they bought batteries and:confused: "Gone Digital" with my 32 bucks? Bill

If you do a search of APUG or the LFPI you'll find plenty of threads about it, it ceased publication etc over a year go. The editor had serious health problems and it folded.

Three threads merged.

I heard from Aggie a few months ago, and what Ian Grant says sounds like the present situation. It's possible that it could be revived at some point, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

It appears that the website continues to "ghost fish".

There's a case for alerting Paypal with all the links to the relevant threads, if Paypal then didn't investigate they would be open to being taken to court for negligence.

I subscribed so long ago I can't remember when. I'm probably somewhere in these 11 page of posts, wondering what had happened myself. I've written here and there after having paid but receiving nothing, and have never received a word from "Emulsion". I just wonder how long one can collect monies from people, not send notification they've stopped publishing, not return the money, and get away with it? I'm really (honestly) sorry about anyone's health problems, but that shouldn't mean they have no responsibility to do whatever is necessary to shut down the "business" that isn't operating, but IS receiving money for nothing. (not that I believe complaining one more time does anything to fix all this )

edited to say: Why does saying this make me feel like a bad person? ? ?

go to traditionalphotographer dot net ( goto the lfforum and search aggie and find the link )
there was information posted there regarding her health / status.
she is in touch with ... or the owner of that website is in touch with her.
every once in a blue moon, he seems to know how she is doing ...

it seems that it might be best to leave questions regarding your paid
subscriptions, no response to emails, websites still collecting money without a magazine &C, there, since she may go there.

your questions for her here, won't even be seen ... you'll just be preaching to the choir ...

I have registered a complaint with Paypal and Thursday elevated it to an "official" claim..... I'll post any response.
