I just bought the last supply of ACU-1 from Calumet. DigitalTruth is no longer selling it. Adorama has sold out. Is it all gone? What a tragedy.

It looks like Acufine is low on supply too.

The technical data says that ACU-1 is simply a one-shot version of Acufine. If I were to use Acufine, it says to add 1/2 oz. of replenisher after every roll, at least until the amount of replenisher added is equal to the amount of developer that was originally there.

So my second question is, do you have to change development times when you are using replenished Acufine? The technical data didn't specify one way or the other.

Acufine is a Phenidone-Hydrochinone developer with not so much sulphite. If you are looking for a substitute try Microphen 1+1. Developing times may differ but the result only slightly.
