P. S. Honestly when I compare the Minolta 40mm F2 second generation “multi coated” the quality difference is night and day.
I've been shooting the little Pentax SLR cameras lately, that's a good way to go for keeping things light and affordable. The lenses have been excellent. An early Retina 1a is small and the lens is as good as a Leica, but those are somewhat heavy. That's why I went w/ the Pentax cameras. Might as well get TTL metering, interchangeable lenses and SLR accuracy w/ basically the same size.I don't doubt it, that's a great lens. It would be the op's route if they wanted a high end lens, maybe mounted on a CL to keep the package small. That's an expensive setup though, and finding CLs w/ working meters can be quite a hunt.
