Hey guys,

I just picked up a very good fully working Leica M3 for $300.00. Did I get a good deal? She had a 21mm 3.5 aspherical black lens for $700.00 and few other lenses. She also had a dozen or so silver lens adapters, that look like they were used for DR lens to get really close for macro shooting. I'm not sure if that's exactly what they were used for.

Yhea.. I think I get a screaming deal.. Went through the speeds, perfect. It even has those sync covers in place. Shutter curtain doesn't hang up. It's perfect. The other two were a little rough. She had some beautiful glass too.

It is if its in good working condition! L

Hey guys.. It's the honest to god truth. She had three and this one was the best one. All speed work, timer works, no dents, no missing Vulconite. Very clean. Advance lever is buttery smooth. I really think she didn't know what she has. I asked a couple of times..." $300.00"? After that, I kept my mouth shut and ran to the ATM and paid her. Even got one of the those Leica 39mm silver lens caps for $15.00 bucks. I'm very curious about the lens adapters? Could it go her DR lens that she to aid in closer Macro photography? I have film in it right now and plan to shoot street stuff tomorrow at university. I'll keep you posted on the results in reagard to frame spacing. God... She had those gorgeous 21 and 28 mm lens. Aspherical mind you with additional slide on viewing piece. $700.00 for each in original boxes. Those lenses retail for over $2000.00 a piece!

Always get a bill of sale with date and ask for finger print.

If seller demurs run.

Go back and buy all she has. Now.

If had the money for that 21mm, absolutely!

An ASPH 21mm for under a grand..?

I can't be the only one to wonder if this gear is a bit on the hot side.

Her father in law passed within the last year. Her husband his was present during the transaction and he works with US customs here at AFB I work at. They want to get something for the gear just to get some cash.

Well, in that case I'm going to say the blindingly obvious and tell you you'll never find a legitimate sale of such quality gear that cheaply.

You could sell that lens and get your $300 back in the profit you'd make.

I thought of that.. But completely out of front money.
