Project Basho is pleased to be hosting Bill Schwab next weekend for an introductory workshop on Wet Plate Collodion. In this workshop, participants will learn all aspects of the process, from preparing the plate, sensitizing, and exposing to developing and fixing by eye, and varnishing.
For photographers used to shooting film, the intuitive nature of processing by eye rather than by stopwatch can be incredibly refreshing and liberating. Furthermore the gorgeous aesthetic and fine resolution makes for an image unlike any other.
