Urethane? Can you share a link on a commercial website of the material you're talking about?
Thanks for the website but it's the third website recommendation I receive that looks like it was designed by a pre-teen 30 years ago and never updated... How would I trust someone who wants to help me make something look good if their own website looks like trash garbage? Lol... If my eyes don't peel of trying to make sense of what looks like the whole phone book rolled into one single home page, I'll try to search again for decent alternatives for future projects!
not even a hasselbladski ??Hasselblad
Maybe if it had sequins. Seriously, having to dress up a camera to attract younger users is one of the dumbest thing I've ever read here.not even a hasselbladski ??

I think there's always been a degree of that in photography. Some people are more into the gear than what the gear can help create.cameras have been fashion accessories for a lot of people old and young.
I've deleted a few things myself...Agreed. I'm having to restrain myself from posting something much stronger...
So you're saying that you're not a conservative before proving that you really are a hardcore one...
Just because someone owns a camera doesn't mean that they will ever have any taste... it's the sad truth of websites like this one where opinions are shared more often than quality work...
At the same time, it is america's most blatant insult for the european immigrant. The astounding lack of taste and absence of aesthetic standards... there's a reason why great artists were never americans...

Who told you that it is related (even remotely) to Salvador? Looks like you are making a lot of assumptions without much knowledge.
Welcome to my "Ignore" list.
She taught me good manners and to be respectful of others, unlike you. Sadly, she has stage 4 cancer and is fighting for her life. You just earned your way onto my ignore list. Lots of other have done the same as well, I see.
I wanted you to get approval for the shiny gold camera. You got some love, some respect, and some opposite. I don't love it, for what *I* would want, but the shininess made me smile, and I think it's cool if you rescued it and it makes you happy and makes you or someone else want to shoot more film. I hope you keep using it or can sell it to someone else who likes shiny cameras! Keep doing your thing! I approve!
But on the other hand your responses to those who didn't like your camera are obnoxious (I think if you re-read them you might see this?). Maybe I am wasting my time saying this, but it seems like you have interesting stuff to contribute here if you don't alienate anyone who might want to interact with you.
It is about the conversation, and the community.
I own neither Leica or Hasselblad gear. (Funny, though that you write about "looky-loo cameras on a thread about your "looky-loo" camera.)
https://www.colophonbookarts.com

http://aki-asahi.com/store/ is pretty much the place to go for camera covers
and has supplied thousands of people with skins for their cameras.
there's also camera leather in Vermont but he's now a 1 person operation and sometimes can take
a very-very longlong-long, LONG long time to fulfill orders.
have fun with the bling!

you know as well as I know for the past IDK 10+ years its been like that, actually more than that. cameras have been fashion accessories for a lot of people old and young. people like to shelf-queen when they aren't carrying it around. I've seen lots of people with new rollers or hasy's who have no idea how to load them,
Agreed. I'm having to restrain myself from posting something much stronger...
I've done work commercially, and in the "art" field, and have many friends who have done the same. Gear is seen as tools. Sure, we've discussed purchases, but only in the context of why it was needed for their business, not how it looks to others.Cameras have *always* been a fashion accessory. Eddie... any group of photographers you'll ever hang with will display their gear to you very visibly with intense pride.
I've allowed young people in to use my darkroom on a regular basis, lent them cameras, and taught them how to hand paint their photos. Most of the "old people" you disparage on the site have done the same..... I'm trying in as many humble ways I can, to spark an interest for film photography in younger people (yes, even under 15 years old works...)
It appears that you only see what you expect to see. That is unfortunate for you.No young people, no people of color, no queers... just a bunch of old white straight dudes who don't value originality or things they would never have thought of.

When I don't like a bar I leave. I don't stay and complain about how much I hate it, and the people in it.
