Could be an VC enlarger light source? Maybe even a powerful safelight? There would need to be an enhanced control pad for precise color control.

Interesting, although the website and user manual warn that it is not to be used in wet environments like outdoors, kitchens and bathrooms.

I think Philips is hooked up with Lumileds (the Luxeon people), so I suspect that the raw diodes are more interesting. I've been scheming about a head based on the Luxeon Rebel for a while, but the peak frequency of the royal blue LED has me a bit worried. I've also no idea just how much variation there is between samples as far as frequency distribution.
