Mustafa the amount of pigment has very little influence on the permanency of the medium, print killer nr.1 is still UV and other external factors. The lightfastness of the pigments is the important thing. Mineral based pigments have superb permanency, dye based especially those made from plants have a very bad permanency. Another factor is the binder medium and its quality oils(intaglio) vs alcohol and water and or polymers (inkjet).

I also have to disagree with your assesment about the use of color woodcuts in european books, color woodcuts were in widespread use until the mid 19th century. With the invention of the Autotype color woodcuts were a thing of the past but before that many books were still illustrated using this technique. (e.g. all illustrations contained in Die Weltumsegelung der Fregatte Novara (1858)/Circumnavigation of the world of the Frigate Novara (1858) were woodcuts)

Third environmental friendly often means that they decompose more easily and that don't leave harmful chemicals residue after decomposition. Few environmental friendly products are permanent or offer the same amount of quality as their evil counterparts.
Just compare old pigments with new ones the old ones might poison the artist but they often look much better than their new friendly substitutes.

The Akua inks sound nice but I am sure they have some drawbacks as well they just don't advertise them.
