exactly, but we can do the same and stay away from insurances or extended warranties and make the math work for us, unless that warm fuzzy feeling of fake security is worth it to you but then, you can probably afford buying again too.

Let's put it this way: I am happy to pay 18 pounds a year on top of my home owner insurance for my luxury watch. 180 pounds in 10 years. You can buy a Casio G-Shock with that money.
It's basic risk analysis. The chances of getting robbed are quite low, but the impact is high.

I have a friend who gets insurance thru ASMP. She says it's very affordable and designed for the needs of photographers. I do not know if one must be an ASMP member, though. Thanks
