What's the demographic of INSTAX users? 10-14 year old Japanese kids? American or European kids? Hipsters? I'm not being facetious, I really wonder who is presently buying the product -- knowing that would help determine whether or not the present purchasing base would find B/W cool enough to support.

Since its introduction in 1998 I have only once saw someone using an Instax (a photo-designer 2 years ago). Never saw someone carry one around. But I got my cameras from the fleammarket, thus they must have been on sale here back in time...

Back when I lived in China, it was not hard to find someone walking around with an INSTAX camera. Definitely not hipsters, everyone looked normal. Usually groups of people snapping shots on film and then exchanging them. INSTAX film is easily found in stores in China. Most shopping malls have Fujifilm kiosks that sell nothing but 100% INSTAX related items.

Fujifilm should do a trial run of black and white film. It just begs to be done.

All of the above.

That's great news, but personally I prefer actual film to make prints from made by KODAK and ILFORD.

This Summer I remember a girl (Chinese or Korean) who had an Instax mini Hello Kitty around her neck. Other than that I never see them around (though I never see film shooters in Switzerland  )

For Fuji, Instax and FP peel-apart are a different series, are they not? I had an Instax Cheki and it was awful. I used FP peel-apart and it was fantastic.
