Hello,

I need help to install one of these a3 scanners on an XP machine
The scanner only uses SCSI connection.

Can anyone tell me what type if SCSI I need to buy to run on XP?
Or would a SCSI to USB converter work in this scenario?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm running an older UMAX Powerlook 2100XL under Win XP. I just bought a cheap PCI SCSI card, installed it and the drivers and it worked without hassle.

Look for an Adaptec SCSI 1 card if you have a 50 pin cable, SCSI 2 if your cabke supports 64 pin. Ebay has a lot of good deals on SCSI cards. Windows XP will probably recognize it automatically.
