I have a Bay 1 Rollei Infrared filter, is there an adapter of some kind which will enable me to fit it on my Rolleiflex Standard 28.5mm (slip on) lens? I have other IR filters also such as a 39mm, etc...
I have seen original 28.5mm IR slip on filters but they are very rare or expensive...
Thanks

Can you find a slip on to 39mm adapter.? I have several round slip on hoods that I have epoxied 'closest fit' step-up rings into so I can use my Nikon 52mm filters on my lowly Zeiss Nettars, Agfa Silettes and such. I started doing this specifically for playing around with IR and UV filters. Slip-on accessories can often fit slightly smaller front lens diameters as the little spring thingies can be bent inwards.

I know this is all heresy, fitting a Spiratone accessory to a Rollei, but if you don't tell anyone you might get away with it.

Will search around thanks!

I did something similar to what Nicholas describes, specifically taking apart a threaded IR-filter and bonding the glass into a retaining ring for a Series-VI press on adapter. It can be confusing understanding all the parts and pieces to make it work but I wrote up a description for it in this thread. Not sure if what I did works with the particular dimensions for your camera and the filters you have available, but there is usually some combination of series filter adapters and retaining rings that can work for you. Hope that helps.

Thank you. I discovered there exists a 28.5mm to Series V step up ring, which may work.
