Indian photographer

A while back, someone posted a link to an article about an indian(?) photographer, who used a camera that looked like a large blue box to make passport prints, and used film.

Does anyone remember this link - because today i was looking through my small collection of photo books and came across one with an identical camera on the cover, a book from quite a while ago, and i would like to find out if it is the same photographer.
