Does anyone have any input on the possibility of adjusting the distance scale on an early Zeiss 50mm/f4/H'bld lens? Is this an owner fixable repair? Mine registers considerable further than the actual distance. Thanks for any input.

It may be owner fixable.
It's been a long time since Ive worked on a Hasselblad lens so take this a a SWAG.
In many lenses the focus scale and ring are held in place by set screws around the perimeter of the ring. Set the lens for closest focus & take a gander. If it's got the screws, set the lens on infinity & set the scale to match, tighten the screws.

I would get it adjusted by a professional, what would be a twenty minute job for him, could be a potential disaster if you try and fix it yourself.
