Hello everyone,

Polaroid announced today an update to its black and white instant film.

From their instagram depiction it seems to be a major upgrade. It seems the first packs to use this new formula will be the monochrome frames.
I think that Polaroid was always fun but also deeply flawed, but if the posted results are representative of the film in the future it might start to become interesting, but I sincerely hope colour follows suite.

What do you think about this update ?

Excellent! Seem like a substantial improvement. Haven't shot Polaroid in a while, this might get me back to it...

Yay! I don't use polaroid, but we can never have enough black and white and it looks nice! 🥳

I might have to order a couple packs and dig up my SX-70 Model 2. Still worked last time I tried it, but I was never all that enthused by the look of their black and white...

that picture has much better contrst than the istax B&W I've shot. Unfortunately I don't have a way to use polaroid.

they are on sale, sometimes even quite cheap... ;-)

doesn't really work for me. The only instax I have is lomograflok back. I'd be interested in a Polaroid back for a LF camera, but AFAIK, one isn't made. I'm not really intersted in a Polaroid camera.

I don't know why people keep calling this thing Polaroid ... Polaroid is long dead. I wish it were not.
