Polaroid announced today an update to its black and white instant film.
From their instagram depiction it seems to be a major upgrade. It seems the first packs to use this new formula will be the monochrome frames.
I think that Polaroid was always fun but also deeply flawed, but if the posted results are representative of the film in the future it might start to become interesting, but I sincerely hope colour follows suite.
I might have to order a couple packs and dig up my SX-70 Model 2. Still worked last time I tried it, but I was never all that enthused by the look of their black and white...
doesn't really work for me. The only instax I have is lomograflok back. I'd be interested in a Polaroid back for a LF camera, but AFAIK, one isn't made. I'm not really intersted in a Polaroid camera.
Indeeed, there is no Polaroid back for LF now. And since Polaroid film is exposed via a mirror, you would have inversed photos with a Polaroid back, not desirable.
I have the new I2, a very fine camera with great results...but that's not cheap.
