Rolleiflex rules is what.

?!?!?!?

And what is this supposed to mean?? Please explain, if you can, or rather if you know in the first place.

And, awty, what do grandmas and Rolleis have to do with all this??

Over the years I have worked out that a majority of Rolleiflex owners/users tend to be more intelligent than most, on average.

You appear to have failed this basic test.

Your Rollei Gold Card may be revoked.

Or are you having a bad Covid day, like so many of us?? In which case, all is forgiven.

Imagine what great things could happen if you gave a grandma a Rolleicord!

I think these guys called it a draw as to which rules

Remember the good old days when making a pair of pants required twice as much fabric as it does today.

I never understood why rollei made it so one had to switch hands while in use. The earlier rolleicords had much better handling in my eyes.

The strap is an integral part of the design. It’s like a neck tripod. 15th of a second, “handheld” is easy when the camera is supported and dampened by gravity and the torso/gut.

Well, I clearly need more coffee this morning. First read that as 'gravity of the torso/gut',...

Like, I'm sure the extra mass I'm carrying around helps dampen some movement, but it isn't THAT much extra mass to have a notable gravitational field

I believe the consensus will finally be; whatever floats your boat, as they say (yes, ‘they’ are unidentifiable but…..oh well)
What rules, photographically speaking, for most of us, varies with time, (and sometimes space).
My current fascination is using oddball lenses on home built 4x5 cameras and shooting on photo paper to see how much the lens will cover, usually at apertures of f32 to f64. I’ve found for instance, that the 95mm plastic lens from a old Polaroid One Step will cover 90X90mm @ f32. And the 110mm plastic lens from the failed Jollylook instant camera will cover 90X110mm @ f64. All cheap and good fun.

Next month a different camera will rule. (This is why you need lots of cameras if you have typical ADD and have learned to just live with it.)

But Rolleicords are sweet. They leave the more Germanic desires for authority to the 'flexes.

And the square is so sweet....

non kidding I was thinking the same thing, cause in another thread he was railing on how lame Rollie's were and how Seagull's ruled the roost.
next thing you know he's gonna say " I'll tell you what, stand developing is the best! "

Where did I say that?

I own 10 Rolleis, man. Started the TLR journey 30 years ago...
