Ilford SFX 200 with IR or red filter?

With my tests it gave the same effect that an R25 would give with any normal film, I saw no increase in IR effect at all....

+1, hence the reason I passed on using the film and instead use Rollei IR400 and squandered my cat's college education in hoarding IR820.

Thanks, I just posed my test results with the Rollie above, and the SFX is even less IR.
 
SFX is not an Infrared Film...it's a film with an extended red range. I've used this film with a Red 25 filter and got a little more of a wood effect on the SFX than what you'd get with a B&W film and a red filter.

If I want to shoot full out IR it's Rollei IR400 and an R72 filter.

True, Ilford Harman and Freestyle describe the film as this on their sites, but B&H calls it Infrared....
 
Yes, it's an extended red film, but so was Tech Pan. The difference is SFX extends up to about 720nm and I believe Tech Pan cut off at 700nm.
