Ilford says extended wash = "warmest image colour" -- why is this?

that version shows both the film and paper wash suggestions.

film is still showing 5=10-20 and the paper 5-10-5, check page 2, and this is from the link just posted.

Perhaps i have too much fixer on the brain and can't read correctly.

I use the Ilford method (with a two-bath rapid fix) for fiber paper up to the wash recommendations. I check the paper in the wash with a residual hypo test and stop washing when it shows it's clear which is usually about 60 minutes. Maybe I'm washing too much but there are so many variables in methods--and even the chemicals present in tap water--I don't think any of the fix/hypo clear/wash methods can be set in stone.

"That version shows both the film and paper wash suggestions."

That PDF deals with the Rapid Fixer and not any one film or paper.

"film is still showing 5=10-20 and the paper 5-10-5, check page 2,
and this is from the link just posted."

For film that is Ilford's suggested 5-10-20 inversion sequence.
Read again page 2 column 2, Washing FB paper. I quote; "Finally,
wash the prints for 20 minutes ... "

That quote is from an Ilford France March 2002 PDF. Dan
