Ilford "Portfolio" IV RC?

Just grabbed a box of this during lunch from a local photo store. $11.99 for 25 sheets (8x10) and this seems to be the premium paper. Is this the same emulsion as the standard RC papers? Should I go back and clean out the shelves at that price? They had a LOT of it!

I figured for the price it was worth trying. They are a pretty big store and move stock, so this isn't old stuff.

So in the U.S. its a bargain at $48 for a box of 100. Just out of curiosity what would you pay for a 100 sheet box of 8x10 of Ilford RC MGIV?

That's a bargain.
Here in the US regular MGIV RC is about $60 online for 100 8x10 and my local store it is almost $80.
Portfolio is easily $80 online for 100 8x10.

It is a good deal. That is about half what I would pay at Freestyle. I'll bet they think it is the single weight version. Or maybe it is old and has not sold well at all for them.

$40AUD for a 25 sheet pack here, I'd jump on that while you can

Thanks for all the replies. Cash it tight but I'm going to be in that area again tomorrow I might have to go back and buy a few more boxes. Perhaps this one was just mislabled and I got lucky? I'm not sure if I even looked at any of the other packages of Portfolio paper. I do know the regular RC paper was around $19 for 25 sheets. If it's truely the same emulsion and on heavier stock this is a score!!!

Local camera shop by me got $25 for a box!!!
