I'd be thrilled if Ilford made a Delta 25 film. Currently I use T-max 100 but was never a fan of it's tone or twitchiness, however Delta 100 tends to have a too noticeable grain for me and tends to muddy up it's beautiful tonality on larger prints because of it.

Using slow speed film mostly because it gives you some more DOF control is ass backward. You pick a film for it's tone, speed (as in freezing motion or vibration), resolution and grain size. If you want to control DOF then get some ND filters and use a film that has the other qualities that you require.

Simon, I have just asked my supplier (Vanbar Pty Ltd in Melbourne) about potential availability of SFX in 135-36 size and they know nothing of Ilford's plans. I presume that Vanbar do not deal directly with Ilford, and that there is a higher level distributor in Australia. How can we end-users get the message through that there is some demand here, albeit small?

Cheers, Peter.

Hi Simon,

I would definitely be interested in a 3200 speed film in 4x5 sheet film. I shoot with an old Crown Graphic camera and this would work great for hand holding.
Any possibility of SFX being made in 4x5. The fact that Kodak no longer makes a large format Infrared or sudo Infrared film makes me think there would be a lot of people looking for this type of film. I shoot a lot of Infrared but my choices are very slim these days. Now MACO is not making there 820 AURA film either. I know that was popular over here in the states, the dealers I buy from couldn't keep enough of it in stock. I also shoot 120 so SFX would definitely be in my fridge in that format. I wonder how SFX compares to the new Rollei IR film, I have tried it but not getting it to look like Kodak HIE. Well thanks for listening.

ch-ch-ch-changes

I'd snap it up (at least 1-200 sheets a year), and Delta 25 too (maybe 50-100 rolls + a year). It   looking forward to some good news

Dear Peter,

Our Australian distributor CR Kennedy hasalready pre-ordered...thanks for the thought..

Well, Simon, I am very glad to see that you participate in the forum. By the way we can directly talk to Ilford's brain.
Concerning delta 25, it would be a very good news if you produce it. A very few films are low sensitive, and very thin grain. Since apx 25 and TechPan has been discontinued, only rollei 25 can be bought.
Moreover, I am going to Peru in August, and I will bring my Mamiya 7II. Fortunately, Kodak has not stopped the production of TXP 320 in format 220. Why can't you trust with them or with Fuji to make 220 films with your own films. The must be a solution to produce ilford films in 220. They are lacking for Medium Format users like me.

Thanks Simon

Best Regards

Aurélien

I have talked at length about 220, why we can no longer manufacture etc, we ahve tried to speak to KODAK and FUJI regarding finishing 220 for us but with no progress so far

Regards

Simon.

I'm holding my breath until it's back in production. Please don't let me expire!

Me as well:smile:

I'll make a point to buy half a dozen rolls of anything new, SFX interests me especially. If I could I'd like to stick with Ilford for all my film needs, haven't failed me yet.

I would definately be very interested about Delta 25. I mainly shoot 35mm and 120...

Don't know where SFX stands currently in terms of 120 but I'd be more than willing to purchase at least 100 rolls. I'd just got to experimenting with it in my studio when it became darned hard to find (at a decent retail price that hadn't been marked up a hundred fold because of the discontinuation!). I really like the stuff. Anybody hear any recent info?

Delta 25: yes yes yes. And now my normal nag about Delta 400 in 220.

David.

I'm still wondering what's going on with Delta 25. Simon said the decision should be around now whether they are going ahead or not. I left another post to see if he replies.

The 220 situation has been explained before, they just dont have the ability to finish it in regards to the cutting and backing, I beleive. They were looking at talking to Kodak or Fuji about helping them with it, but that was the last update.
And if Delta 25 was a go, I'd think there'd be a rather huge announcement, but I'm curious to it's status as well.

I would like to be able to order ilford in ULF sizes in europe.

Cheers Johannes

Ajuk-

I think ISO 3200 sheet film would be useful in teaching large format photographers about light leaks in their systems: bellows, film holder hinges, etc.

Dear All,

New products already raised to project level ( but with no final go/no go )
or production schedules are a 25 asa Delta Film ( this would NOT replace PAN F + ) and a Multigrade Cooltone Fibre Base, I will communicate more info on these when it is available.

I know you haven't really posed the question yet, but 25ASA Delta/35mm would be really attractive for me.

Steve

Dear All,

Thanks for all your feedback, I will let you all know the outcome of our product review updates in mid february.
