Simon,

Any possibility of a few boxes of 9 1/2 x 20" HP5?

Thanks.

Just how many boxes of Delta would sell instead of FP4... while I don't know for sure I do know this.
Delta 100 in sheets hardly sells at all, while FP4 gets the highest sales of any of the sheet films. Now I happen to use Delta 100 myself in 8x10 but I'm my largest customer by far. Making Delta available in the ULF wouldn't be worth the effort as far as sales go.

Since you're listening Simon.... I would use a least one box of SFX200 in 8x10 a year.... in case this additional sale pushes it over the limit and makes it a go. Plus I think one other photographer thought he might use a box a year as well ... so that's two orders already. LOL

Help!!! Can't decide how much of what film to get. My 7x17 has literally just arrived and I've not put any film though it. FP4+ or HP5+. Everything I've read points to HP5+ for the extra speed with smaller apertures required for DOF. Although I would like to do some Pd printing and HP5+ doesn't seem to generate enough contrast from some texts I've read. Both Pd and 7x17 are pretty new to me but the Ilford ULF order deadline is upon us. How much is anyone buying. Literally a years supply or laying down some?

Heather, that is a very fair point. I have seen some of his prints and they are stunning. Thanks... Just getting a little jumpy. I had hoped to at least put some film through the camera before now but it only turned up on Thursday.

HP5+ has no problem getting to the contrasts required for Pt/Pd. I use it all the time, and my 11x14 order has just arrived at Silverprint

So how much film did people order? Just enough for a year and hope Ilford do the run again next year? I've only ordered 6 boxes of 7x17 HP5+ as I cannot afford anymore and I had previously scavanged some (not alot) old stock of FP4+ and HP5+ from various places. My stash will last me at least a year but after that I'm just hoping Ilford do the run again. Any thoughts?

Dear All,

Buy only what you need for the year, we will most certainly do the ULF run about the same time next year.

Simon, I don't know if it is already over for this year (have not found anything about the progress), but if not I'd like to also take part in it.

I'd be interested in Quarter plate ( 3 1/4"x4 1/4") HP5+ (4boxes) or if not possible in this size, then in Half plate size ( 4 1/4" x 6 1/2") HP5+ (2boxes) so I can cut it in halves.

Also please, what retailer should I use to place my order? (being in the Czech Republic, Europe)

Thank a lot

Jiri, the order period is closed for this round. In any case, quarter-plate and half-plate were not included, as so far there has not been sufficient demand for these sizes to justify setting up the required cutting mask, SKU, etc.

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Jiri, all is not lost. You've shown willingness to cut down a larger size and Whole Plate was included in the offer:
6.5" x 8.5" SKU:1142158

Ask Silverprint if they ordered any for stock, or maybe an individual who ordered some would be prepared to sell a box on to you ? No harm in asking.

Cheers

Well, I prefer not to cut it myself, but as I shoot 5x8 format and have to cut from 8x10 film, I already think it's not such a big deal. Only I think one cut is better than having to cut twice...

On the other hand I love HP5+ for portraits so much, it can be pushed a great deal...

Thanks for the confirmation that you will do a ULF film run next year. I bought enough 7x17 from your run last year to last two years but next year I will need much more.
