Hi Gang

Has anyone tried the Ilford Pan F and Rollei 25 120 film at all in PMK Pyro (or another developer)?

Does this film have good tonal variations compared to the t-grain film? I have found that t-grain film has very tight grain and is super sharp but really lacks tonal variations. I am willing to give a little on the grain if I can get film that offers some good subtle tonal variation.

Thank you

Pan F - 120 developed in PMK has great tonality. You will love it.

HI - I tested this film a while ago in the rollei high speed dev, id-11, lc-29 and pyrocat hd, against delta 100 and HP5 in 120. to be honest, I didnt find any advantage over the delta 100 in perceived sharpness or preferrable tonality (very subjective and personal I know) - and, to my eye, the HP5 seemed sharper with more pleasant highlight gradation.

hope that helps.

PS - i felt that it didnt even get close to the smoth tonality of pan f.
