Ilford Ortho Copy Film For General Use?

I was tidying up my darkroom last night and came upon several boxes of 4x5 Ilford Ortho Copy Film. Has anyone ever used it as a general purpose film? I vaguely recall an attempt to do just that with unsatisfying results. Just curious if anyone has ever been able to put this film to good photographic use.

Ilford currently markets it as Ortho 80. I'm assuming it's the same film (there was a discussion on here somewhere where someone said it was and I have no reason to not believe it). I have used Ortho 80 just once and it was fine. But I like unusual results.

Since it's a copy film, it tends toward higher contrast and possibly higher blue sensitivity. So, best used in lower-contrast lighting. Unless you like stark images. I like them, sometimes.

High contrast, white skies, 'different' tonal rendition due to the lack of red sensitivity.
Run a test against whatever (panchromatic) camera film you prefer. Choose a long-scale subject. And there will be your answer.
