I'm switching back from Moersch Eco dev to one of these. I'm used to Adox, but I've read Ilford Multigrade dev is great too.

Things I'd like to know which I don't find on the internet: the longevity of the dev in concentrate (not diluted)?

Also, will a paper developer give less contrast upon using an economy dilution?

My own experience is that Ilford Multigrade keeps well in unopened bottles but goes off in a matter of weeks if not transferred to a smaller bottle with no air gap. I switched to Tetenal Eukobrom which seems to keep better as a concentrate and also lasts longer as a working strength solution in my slot processor. I am also very pleased with the results from the Eukobrom but I realise you are asking about Neutol!

Ilford MG developer is a great developer, and I find it works well even when the concentrate goes brown, Fotospeed and Rollei/firstcall concetrates keep well as does Neutol, and as far as using the economy dilution gives as much contrast as normal dilution, you just need to develop longer, and the working strength developer does not have as much throgth put as full strength, I always use the eco dilution, and for RC I develop for 2 to 3 minutes and for FB 3 to 4 minutes

I have had Ilford Multigrade on the shelf (opened) for about 6 months - always using Protectan. After the 6 months, the developer was already brown, but still working.
