I don't know why they do that. Emaks, IIRC, is another
that specifies RED. Both work fine with yellow to orange
safe lights. Both are Graded papers which are blue sensitive
only. A nice + using Graded; a really well lit darkroom. Dan

I too had no problem using the orange safe light.

I started out heading the warning about the red safelight. However, I've been using the standard orange OC light for a good while with no problems.
