Ilford Ilfosol-3 vs Perceptol

I already know that there were related questions, but I'd like to raise this issue again.
I heard that perceptol is a fine grain developer and mainly used for medium speed films.
Ilfosol-3 has similar characteristics, just have a difference between powder and liquid.
Is ther anyone who know the exact difference between them?

Ilfosol and Perceptol are sort of opposites. Ilfosol is recommended for sharpness while Perceptol is recommended for extra fine grain.

Can such relationship also be applied to DD-X and Mincrophen?

Perceptol uses a high sulfite content, 125 g/l as a silver halide solvent.While grain is reduced so is sharpness. Perceptol is a D-23 type developer.
