Ilford HP5 (not HP5+) developing time?

I picked up 2 boxes of Ilford HP5 in 8x10 recently and want to try using it. It's HP5, not HP5 plus, rated at 320 box speed. No expiry date on the box somewhat surprisingly.

I'm assuming that it would behave similarly to an old tech film like Fomapan 400 for a developing time in Xtol? Or would it be closer to HP5+? I was thinking of trying 7.5 min as a starting point and rate it at 200. Has anyone an experience with Xtol with this film?

I have the B&W Handbook from Jobo with development times for HP5 film, unfortunately it does not list Xtol. For development with Microphen Jobo recommends the same development time as is now recommended by Ilford for the HP5+.

Times didn't really change significantly from HP3 to HP4 then HP5 & +. There should be a code a letter followed by 2 numbers. that was the month and year of manufacture. HP5 doesn't age as well as slower films so good luck expect higher base fog.

I just loaded a roll of HP5 which I bought at a flea market, and I’m trying to find the development time. Does your handbook mention something about Rodinal and/or HC-110?

Rodinal is generally not recommended, for HC-110 the recommendation is 6 min @ 20 deg. C @ DIN 24.5 (ISO 225) to be used with a diffusion enlarger. Not recommended with condenser enlarger.
