I was thinking to buy DD-X to use for Delta 3200, but then i told myself that it is not worthy, because i have 1 roll of Delta 3200 and i will not use this film much, so why buying DD-X to use it for 1 roll of Delta3200, even if it is good for another films, still i prefer TMAX and now new to me HC-110, i also have Ilfosol 3 which was my first developer and still one favorite too, almost i use it always with Ilford slow films [PanF, FP4, Delta 100], even with Acros 100 it was amazing.

Maybe i will give Tri-X and HP5+ more test in the future pushing them all the way to 1600 and see, i remember i did shoot 2 rolls of Delta 3200 and i can't remember with which 2 developers i processed them but i couldn't get a good results out of them, so will think about DD-X or TMAX maybe.

If you plan to push 400TX and especially HP5+ You should definitely use DD-X for that job.... So get it for D3200 as well as the pushing of HP5+ trust me there is a huge difference between DD-X and other developers for pushing

To me, the advantage of DD-X over XTol is the long shelf life of a partly-used bottle of DD-X. I routinely get more than a year's life out of it. Only failure was a crystallization. I'd never be able to use up a stock bottle of XTol before it was "too late". So the nominal price advantage of XTol goes away for me, because I could never use up a batch.

That's why the two commercial developers I keep around are DD-X and HC-110. I use HC-110 when I want to spend less, and DD-X for the best results. (The idea of developing four sheets of 4x5 in the Nikor cut film tank with DD-X is enough to give me a nosebleed. So all my 4x5 is developed in HC-110.)

Wow and I thought I was cheap.... LOL, does the Nikor tank take more than 1L of developer?

I also just realized that the time for Delta 400@ 500 in DDX (ilford's recommended time) is 9.5 and the time for Delta 3200 @ 1600 is also 9.5 (actually that's the time for 3200 but as has been recommended here I'm going to shoot at 1600 and develop at 3200)

To me that's an added bonus since I'm considering standardizing on these two films and it will be nice to just soup them together whenever I have some ready.
