Has anyone had any experience with DD-X diluted 1:9 instead of the standard 1:4?

It works fine, giving a similar curve shape and EI to the usual 1:4 dilution. It _may_ be slightly grainier.

There has been some discussion of this on rec.photo.darkroom. And as I recall Ilford's site has some information on diluting DD-X for economy reasons. I have not used it, prefering the 1:4 ratio, but if I were processing a lot of films per the 3-6 months that Ilford recommends for the non-diluted developer then I would certainly consider it.
